Pigeon Spiked, 2024

Graphite on paper with nail,16.5 x 12.8 cm

These drawings served as an exploration of confinement and vulnerability, symbolized by the insertion of nails through their chests. Through this installation, I considered the sense of entrapment and constraint on women in society using the motif of the pigeon, highly considered a pest to the public of both Paris, France where I studied and Aberdeen, Scotland, my home.
